Separated from the mainland by the Catuano Channel, the largest island of the Dominican Republic – Saona – features magnificent dive sites. It’s renowned for its unspoiled beaches, lush tropical scenery, crystal clear water and a great variety of marine life. Most of the shore areas are only feet deep and have natural sandbars that let you spot stingrays, turtles, sea stars and lots of colorful fish. This government protected natural reserve is part of the East National Park.
