The Dominican Republic is said to be a paradise for cave divers, and promises real competition to Mexico´s Yucatan. Some of the most renowned are Cueva Taina, El Hipodromo, Jardin Oriental, La Roca and Padre Nuestro.

by DRSS – a non profit organization and member of the Federación Espeleológica de América Latina y el Caribe (FEALC), representing the Dominican Republic. Their mission is the exploration, survey and conservation of submerged caves in the Dominican Republic and the world through cave diving.

You will be picked up from your hotel by van in the morning and experience two unique dives in the world´s finest fresh water caverns. Our group consists of max. 4 certified divers per cave guide.

All our guides are fully certified Full Cave Diving Instructors with an official cave guide certification.

After a short drive into the jungle, our guide will conduct a thorough briefing containing procedures, do´s & don’ts, potential hazards, signals and also check your equipment, weights and swimming techniques.

We will provide torches, sandwiches, soft drinks and take care of the entry fee.

Highly recommended are 5mm long wetsuits to keep you warm during 2 dives in approx. 24 degrees cold water, and which we can provide you.

Remember it is forbidden to touch, move or remove any of those delicate and fragile formations remaining underwater for thousands of years, as they can be damaged permanently.

Caribbean Island Excursion CATALINA

Catalina is a preservation of ecosystems with natural sand dunes, mangroves and reefs is located 1.5mi/ 2.4km from the mainland. It features one of the Dominican Republic’s most spectacular drop-off’s and reefs, the Santa Catalina Wall and Aquarium Reef.

Caribbean Island Excursion SAONA

Separated from the mainland by the Catuano Channel, the largest island of the Dominican Republic – Saona – features magnificent dive sites. It’s renowned for its unspoiled beaches, lush tropical scenery, crystal clear water and a great variety of marine life. Most of the shore areas are only feet deep and have natural sandbars that let you spot stingrays, turtles, sea stars and lots of colorful fish. This government protected natural reserve is part of the East National Park.
